St. Mary Magdalene’s athletic program is focused on teamwork and self-discipline based on our faith. The program is dedicated to excellence in athletics and is committed to supporting spiritual, physical, mental and emotional growth through our team sports. The ministry encourages the growth of team and parish spirit, and the improvement of physical coordination and fitness of our parishioners.
Basketball - Established in 2003, St. Mary Magdalene’s basketball program is the largest recreational Catholic basketball program in Greenville County. Today the parish supports 20 teams representing more than 200 children and adults (ages 5 and up). The season runs November through mid-February.
Softball - St. Mary Magdalene has participated in adult softball since 2000, which includes several championship seasons. Today, the program consists of two men’s teams and one co-ed team. Seasons are held in the spring, summer and fall.
Running - The Running Club was formed in 2012 as a fellowship group to support parishioners with their health and fitness goals. Comprised of runners of all ages and abilities, St. Mary Magdalene participates in 2-3 scheduled runs a year and provides an online service to identify running partners.
