Giving Tree

The Giving Tree provides the opportunity for our parish community to share their time and treasure in celebration of Christ’s birth. Each year, our parishioners generously donate gifts of clothing, household supplies, books, toys, and hygiene items to assist families in need. We hope these gifts bring peace and comfort. It is our mission to let families in need know that they are not alone during the joyous Christmas season.

As Pope Francis said in his “Urbi et Orbi” message of Christmas 2016, “Peace on earth to men and women of goodwill, who work quietly and patiently each day, in their families and in society, to build a more humane and just world, sustained by the conviction that only with peace is there the possibility of a more prosperous future for all.”

To best serve families in need, we coordinate with St. Vincent de Paul, Catholic Charities, Mental Health America of Greenville County, Domestic Violence Assistance, and other St. Mary Magdalene Ministries and Upstate organizations. Typically, we assist one hundred families every year.
