Becoming Catholic

Are You Interested in Becoming Catholic

or are Curious about the Catholic Faith?

Then OCIA is for You!

What is OCIA?

Order of Christian Initiation of Adults

If you are curious about the Catholic Faith, we have the answers! The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) is an opportunity to learn about the Catholic Faith and if you wish, to become fully initiated through the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil Mass.  But first and foremost, OCIA is a spiritual journey … individual to you … but experienced within a close community of friends, a chance to journey and grow with our Lord and His Word.

Who is Called to OCIA? Everyone!

Non-Catholic

It is for those who are not Catholic (baptized or not baptized). Come and learn with no commitments. If you decide to become Catholic, the program will lead to the reception of Baptism, Confirmation and Communion at Easter.

Catholic

It is for Catholics who have not received the Eucharist or Confirmation. Join us to experience the grace these sacraments can bring into your life.

Learn More

It is for Catholics who would like to learn more about our Catholic faith or to support one who is seeking our Catholic faith.

Tell me about the meetings

We meet Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. starting the second Thursday in September and continuing to the Feast of Pentecost. We will open the meeting with prayer, hear a short lecture and/or watch a short video, and then spend time together exploring our faith in small groups.

You have been called by the Holy Spirit … Will you answer Yes?
