Lector Ministry

Members of the Lector Ministry proclaim the Word of God during the “Liturgy of the Word” i.e. in the vocal presentation of the first and second readings at all Masses. They also lead the assembled in the Prayers of the Faithful in the absence of a Deacon. This ministry exists to represent the assembled faithful, in service to, and in collaboration with, the Celebrant, in the joyful re-presentation of the main event at Calgary, where Christ sacrificed Himself for the redemption of all.
